Our History

The Natura Soc. Coop. Agricola producer organisation was founded in 2012 in Polistena (Reggio Calabria) on the Gioia Tauro Plain to boost, promote and concentrate members’ production. This organisation was created to bring together and promote the sale of its member producers’ products as effectively as possible, as part of a careful strategy of internationalisation. Although it was formed recently, the organisation can boast the involvement and experience of cooperatives that have been operating in the fruit and vegetable sector for decades now throughout Calabria. The membership list currently comprises 17 members, with a total of more than 600 producers who bring their products to our warehouses to maintain the highest levels of freshness and quality.

OP Natura was recognised as a Producer Organisation by the Regional Authority of Calabria in Regional Decree No. 17574 of 10 December 2012. In addition, emphasising its commitment to strengthening the region and cooperative working, it is a member of the Confcooperative – Fedagi agricultural confederation and holds GLOBALGAP, Organic, PGI, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications.

OP Natura works to improve production and the conditions of preservation and transport of agricultural products every day to make sure that the consumer enjoys the highest quality, alongside an excellent yield for all producer members, whose work is promoted and protected. All of this is possible thanks to our processing, packaging and storage centres scattered throughout Calabria, with cutting-edge warehouses that allow goods to be picked, packed and dispatched very quickly.

Over the years, we have made our mark on the international markets, making a name for ourselves for our reliability and the quality of our products. As a result, we now have a presence in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Brazil and Hungary, and we are working on reaching China, Japan and other South-East Asian countries in the near future.
